Tŷ Mawr Wybrnant

Tŷ Mawr Wybrnant

Travel back in time to this remote traditional stone-built farmhouse which was the birthplace of Bishop Williams Morgan who, in 1588, was the first to translate the entire Bible into Welsh. The farmhouse is now owned by The National Trust, and they have restored it to its probable C16 appearance. Have a look at the huge collection of Bibles from across the world and then explore the nearby woodland trail.

How to get there?

Follow the A5 east from Betws y Coed, towards Llangollen, for 2 miles (3Km). Turn right at the Conwy Falls café towards Penmachno (B4406) and follow the National Trust signs to "Tŷ Mawr".
